Novaminis have a remarkable talent for giving goblins genuine personality, and Goblin Warrior 07 is a fine example. This is a goblin who has decided, mid-engagement, that survival is more important than honour — and he's making his exit with as much dignity as a fleeing warrior can muster. That is to say: not much, but he's committed to it.

The sculpt captures that wonderful tension between menace and comedy that makes goblins such a joy to paint and place on the table. He's kitted out in battered layered armour with studded detail and a chain-hung belt, his round shield still clutched to his side — whether for protection on the run or out of sheer habit is unclear. The sword remains in hand too, because dropping your weapon on the way out is a step too far. His expression is wide-mouthed and wild-eyed, a perfect portrait of a creature who has made a tactical reappraisal of the situation.
