Goblin Throwing Troll by Epic Miniatures
Description
When the warband runs out of siege weapons, the troll simply picks up the nearest goblin and throws him instead — and the goblin, to his credit, fires arrows the entire way down.

- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
This is a huge-scale miniature — and it earns every inch of that designation. The sculpt depicts a hulking, barrel-chested troll mid-lurch, muscles straining beneath leathery hide, jaw stretched wide in a battle-roar. Spiked chains and a crude hanging cage dangle from its armoured torso, and a patchwork of scavenged plate and lashed leather speaks to a lifetime of battlefield looting. One fist clutches a makeshift cage-flail; the other arm is raised, gripping a long bundled shaft — from which a goblin archer clings, taking aim with a bow even as he's hoisted aloft. The goblin is fully detailed with his own gear, quiver, and feathered arrows, riding the chaos with what can only be described as committed professionalism.
The level of sculpted detail here is exceptional — links of chain, stitched leather straps, bound arrows, rope wrappings, and the troll's gnarled, expressive face all reward careful brushwork. This is the kind of centrepiece miniature that changes the tone of an encounter the moment it hits the table. Whether you're running a goblin warband that's evolved some unconventional tactics or simply want a showpiece creature that your players will genuinely not see coming, this miniature delivers something genuinely memorable.
As a huge-sized piece, it will command the battlefield in a way that smaller minis simply cannot — and on the display shelf, it stands as a character study in chaotic, magnificent aggression.
Brilliant for adventurers who:
- Run goblinoid warbands with escalating tactical creativity
- Want a huge-scale centrepiece creature that rewards detailed painting
- Are building encounters where the monsters have personality as well as menace
- Love minis that tell a story before a single die is rolled
- Collect display pieces that sit boldly on a shelf and demand explanation
Encounter Hook: The party hears the warband before they see it — the clatter of chains, a guttural roar, and then the unmistakable sound of something small whooping with apparent delight. They crest the ridge to find Gruk the Chucking Troll, beloved field commander of the Broken Fang goblins, preparing to launch his personal archer — Nibbit — over the party's defensive wall at range. Initiative.
