Description

He didn't come quietly — but the chains saw to that. Now he shambles forward, wrists bound and ankle irons dragging, wearing the hunched defiance of a creature that hasn't given up yet.

  • ✔ Multi-miniature bundle — multiple variations in one order
  • ✔ 32mm scale resin, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ All pieces supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Great value for building out encounter groups or display collections

This is the second sculpt in Novaminis' Goblin Prisoner series, and it carries real narrative weight on its own. The goblin is caught mid-shuffle — barrel-chested, bare-torso, with manacles clamped around thick wrists and a heavy ankle chain trailing behind. His mohawked head is bowed low but his expression tells a different story: wide-eyed and scowling, ears flattened, jaw set. This is not a broken prisoner. This is one waiting for his moment.

The sculpt rewards a painter's eye. The leather breeches are cross-laced down the leg with visible stitching. The iron shackles carry the satisfying heft of crude metalwork, and the chain links trailing from his ankles are individually rendered. His musculature is exaggerated in Novaminis' characteristic style — chunky and expressive, full of character without losing anatomical coherence. Whether you paint him as a wretched captive or a barely-contained brawler caught mid-transport, the pose supports both readings.

As the second variation in the prisoner range, this sculpt pairs naturally with Goblin Prisoner 01 — together they make a convincing shackle gang for dungeon encounters, slave-trade storylines, or morally complex rescue missions. Equally at home as a narrative prop or a standalone display piece.

Well-suited for adventurers who:

  • Need a goblin NPC that reads as captive but not defeated
  • Are running dungeon or underground encounter arcs involving forced labour or goblin warbands
  • Want a characterful miniature with obvious painting opportunities across skin, leather, and ironwork
  • Are building out a goblinoid roster with narrative variety rather than just warriors

Encounter Hook: The party discovers a goblin in a holding pen beneath the Ironholm mine — one ankle chain locked to the wall, the other dragging loose where a link has been prised apart. He speaks broken Common and claims to know the location of a secret route out — but he'll only share it if the party removes his remaining shackle. Whether he's telling the truth, running his own angle, or working for the mine's overseer is entirely up to your table.
