This is pose 05 from the Yasashii Kyojin Studio Goblin range, and he cuts a markedly different silhouette from the skulking varieties DMs typically reach for. Built like a goblinoid who has survived long enough to get properly mean, he stands in a wide, forward-leaning stance with a full-length spear levelled at chest height and a heavy, spike-studded shield braced across his torso. A rough cloak hangs at his back, bound at the throat, and his expression — sunken brow, jutting jaw, small eyes narrowed with something between contempt and calculation — suggests he has absolutely no intention of running. The spiked pauldrons and studded foot wrappings mark him out as a warrior who has seen combat and come away armoured, if not exactly refined. He reads less as a random dungeon filler and more as a unit leader, a hardened gate guard, or the one goblin in the warband that your players will quickly learn not to underestimate.

Details

At 28mm scale, the sculpt carries excellent surface detail — the ridged shield boss, the sinew-wrapped spear shaft, and the individual studs on his footwear all hold up well and reward careful brush work. Equally at home on a display shelf as on a battlemap.

Each miniature is quality checked before dispatch; as with all hand-finished pieces, very minor surface marks can occasionally occur and are easily addressed before priming.
