This is pose 02 of the Goblin range by Yasashii Kyojin Studio, and it cuts a very different silhouette from your typical scrawny tunnel-lurker. Wide-legged in a low fighting stance, this goblin is built like a brawler — thick-armed, broad-shouldered, and practically vibrating with aggression. His mouth is open in a snarl, small horns protrude from his brow, and his pointed ears are flared back. He's wrapped in cloth bindings across his forearms and torso, with a studded leather strap crossing his chest. In one hand he holds a pair of thin bone or ivory blades; the other is curled into a fist, curved claws extended. Greaves protect his shins, and his wide, taloned feet are planted firmly — this one isn't running. He's waiting for you to try something.

Compared to a standard goblin mini, the musculature and stance here suggest a veteran fighter, a tribe champion, or something worse — a goblin who's survived long enough to get good at it. Works brilliantly as a named boss, a mob enforcer, or simply as a more physically imposing rank-and-file enemy to scatter among lesser goblins for variety.

Well-suited for adventurers who:

  • Want a goblin that reads as genuinely threatening, not just comedic
  • Are building goblin-heavy encounters with varied sculpts for interest
  • Need a tribe champion, pit fighter, or named antagonist for their campaign
  • Collect or paint humanoid monsters and want strong muscle and cloth detail
  • Display fantasy miniatures and want something with real presence on the shelf

Encounter Hook:
The goblin they call the Strap-Bound has never lost a pit fight in the Warrens of Skelthorr — and when the party's contact is dragged into the ring to settle a debt, someone needs to step in before the third bell rings and it becomes a fight to the finish.

Details

Printed at 32mm scale. Available with or without a plain black base — the base is supplied unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. The mini arrives ready for priming and painting, or use it straight from the box as-is. Each piece is quality checked before dispatch, though minor marks from the printing process are possible and easily tidied up.
