This is pose 2 of our Gnoll Warrior range by Novaminis, and it captures the gnoll mid-stalk — weight forward, longsword swept back and ready to swing, free hand curling into claws as if it hasn't quite decided which to use first. The sculpt is rich with character: a spiked and riveted crown-helm sits atop a snarling hyena skull, bone trophies hang at the chest, and leather wrappings circle the wrists and waist. Every angle of this miniature — and there are four worth studying — rewards close attention, from the lashing tail to the digitigrade stance that keeps this gnoll permanently on the balls of its feet, always on the verge of lunging.
Gnolls in D&D 5e are more than mere brutes — they are the fractured remnants of a demonic blessing from Yeenoghu, the Beast of Butchery, driven to slaughter not by strategy but by a hunger that never quiets. A warband of these warriors, posed mid-advance, creates exactly the kind of table presence that makes players reconsider their marching order. Equally at home on a display shelf, this sculpt holds its own as a collector's piece with genuine depth and menace.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Need gnoll warband enemies for wilderness or desert encounters in D&D 5e or other TTRPGs
- Are building themed gnoll raiding parties and want varied, dynamic poses
- Paint humanoid monsters and want a sculpt with layered detail across armour, fur, and bone
- Collect fantasy miniatures and want a display-worthy creature with real narrative presence
Encounter Hook:
The merchant caravan the party was hired to escort has gone silent — three wagons found stripped and overturned at a river crossing, drag marks leading east into the scrubland. As the adventurers follow the trail, they hear it: a low, rhythmic laughing that doesn't stop. Then the ambush comes from three directions at once, led by a gnoll in a spiked crown who seems to be enjoying this far too much.
