This is the Gnoll Shrine 01 — a towering totem pole of savage devotion, bristling with iron spikes, heavy chains, and the bleached skulls of those who dared stand in the pack's way. At its crown, a horned demon mask presides over the whole grisly construction, while more skulls are strung from the crossbars like grotesque pendants. The base is scattered with bones and craniums that have simply accumulated over years of bloody offerings. Every angle of this piece tells a story of violence, worship, and territorial dominance.
For Dungeon Masters, this shrine works as a centrepiece for a gnoll warcamp, a wilderness encounter marker, or an objective in a raid scenario — your players will know immediately what kind of creatures lurk nearby. It's equally at home on a display shelf as a piece of dark fantasy scenery that rewards close inspection from every side.
A great addition for adventurers who:
- Run gnoll encounters and want terrain that does the atmospheric work for them
- Build immersive wilderness or warcamp battle maps
- Collect dark fantasy scatter terrain and display pieces
- Want a centrepiece objective marker for camp-raid or ritual-disruption scenarios
Encounter Hook:
The ranger spots it first — a totem rising above the treeline at the edge of the valley, skulls rattling softly in the wind. A DC 14 Survival check confirms the bones are fresh, no more than two days old. The gnoll warband hasn't moved on. They're waiting.
Details
Printed at 32mm scale. Available with or without a plain black base — the base is supplied unattached and can be fixed in place with a small amount of glue. As with all detailed scenic pieces, minor surface marks may occasionally be present; these are easily tidied up before priming. The shrine arrives fully cured and ready for paint.
