This is pose 02 of the Gnoll Demoniac range by Novaminis — and where the first pose might suggest menace, this one screams abandon. The Gnoll Demoniac 02 is captured mid-ecstasy, head thrown back in a full-throated shriek, jaws agape and clawed hands splayed wide as though channelling something from the Abyss itself. Spiked iron bracers bite into its forearms, a belt of tiny skulls rings its waist, and a larger skull trophy is bound across its back — this is not a creature that fears death; it worships it.
Gnoll demoniacs occupy a particular niche in any campaign: they are not tacticians or warlords, they are the unhinged heart of a gnoll warband — the ones the other gnolls give a wide berth to. Followers of Yeenoghu, gnoll demoniacs channel demonic frenzy to inspire bloodlust and terror in equal measure. On the table, this miniature reads instantly — your players will understand the threat the moment it hits the mat. Off the table, the sculpt rewards detailed brushwork across its musculature, trophy adornments, and the raw, open expression of its face. Equally at home in a display cabinet or at the centre of a bloodsoaked encounter.
Particularly well-suited for adventurers who:
- Run gnoll warbands as recurring enemies or cult antagonists
- Need a standout miniature to signal a gnoll demoniac or frenzied shaman stat block
- Want a characterful Yeenoghu-touched creature for a demonic incursion arc
- Enjoy detailed paint projects with expressive anatomy and layered trophy detail
- Collect Novaminis' monster range for display
Encounter Hook:
The warband the party has been tracking for three days has stopped moving. In the clearing ahead, the other gnolls sit in a wide circle, perfectly still, watching one of their number pace and howl at the sky — arms wide, eyes rolled back, voice rising in pitch. The Ranger recognises it: the demoniac is working itself toward a frenzy. The ritual ends in minutes. Whatever it is calling, it is almost here.
