This is pose 01 of our Gnoll Archer range, sculpted by Novaminis. The figure captures a gnoll mid-draw — hunched forward in a predatory crouch, both powerful arms hauling back a spiked longbow with a feathered arrow at full draw. The hyena-like snarl on its muzzle is ferocious, and the detail in the tattered hide wrappings, studded brow plate, and layered leather bindings across its forearms speaks to a creature that survives on savagery and cunning rather than craftsmanship. A quiver of additional arrows sits ready at its hip. The sculpt has real weight to it — this is not a flanking minion, it is a threat worth placing on the table deliberately.

Gnolls in D&D 5e are categorised as humanoids but carry the flavour of something far more feral — blessed by Yeenoghu, the demon lord of gnolls, they fight with relentless pack aggression. An archer like this one would lurk at range while the melee pack closes in, picking off healers and spellcasters before the party even registers they are being hunted. Whether you are running a desert bandit encounter, a wilderness warband, or a full Yeenoghu cult storyline, this mini earns its spot on the encounter map.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Need a ranged gnoll threat with real sculpt presence on the encounter map
  • Are building a gnoll warband or raiding party encounter
  • Want a rewarding miniature to paint — the fur texture, wrappings, and armour detail hold washes and drybrushing exceptionally well
  • Collect enemy NPCs and monster minis for display as well as gaming

Encounter Hook:
The trade road through the Ashfen has been silent for three days — no merchants, no messengers, no birds. The party finds a merchant's wagon axle-deep in the mud, its contents stripped clean, a single feathered arrow embedded in the driver's seat still quivering. Something is watching from the ridgeline. Something patient.
