This is Gladiator 02 from Novaminis — the second variation in their gladiator range, and where the first brought raw power, this sculpt brings something sharper: a fighter who has learned to read her opponent before she moves. She stands poised mid-engagement, broad sword raised high and a studded round shield held close to her core, ready to parry or press forward in the same breath.
Her armour tells her story in detail — studded leather torso armour adorned with embossed lion motifs across the belt, bracers strapped tight to her forearms, and hobnailed boots laced to the knee. Her hair is pulled back beneath a close-fitting helm, and her expression is one of absolute focus. Every surface on this sculpt rewards a careful painter: the riveted leatherwork, the worn boss of the shield, the faint texture of her greaves all hold paint beautifully.
As a 02 variant, this pose reads quite differently to the rest of the series — where other gladiators may be in the swing of attack or locked in a defensive stance, this figure is caught in the moment just before commitment, weight balanced and options open.
