This is the third sculpt in Novaminis' Gith Warrior range, and it cuts a distinctly different silhouette from its companions. Where other variants might hold a guarded or advancing stance, Warrior 03 is caught mid-engagement — both blades raised in an aggressive dual-wield posture, weight shifted into a wide fighting stance that speaks to someone who hits first and asks questions never. One blade is swept overhead in a powerful arcing strike, the other held low and forward, ready to catch a riposte.
The detail across the sculpt is tight and specific. Ornate carved pauldrons sit over bare muscular shoulders, and the torso is unarmoured — a deliberate Githyanki aesthetic choice that signals absolute confidence in their own martial superiority. A richly textured belt and loincloth hang with a knotted braid at the hip, and the greaves are heavily decorated with flowing organic scrollwork that echoes the alien craftsmanship of Astral Plane aesthetics. The warrior's face carries a short pointed beard and an expression of focused aggression — this is not someone on their way into a fight. This is someone already in one.
The braided topknot and long flowing side hair add movement to the figure, and the asymmetric sword design — one blade broad and slightly curved, the other long and tapered — gives the mini a distinctive silhouette from every angle. This variation works brilliantly as a named Githyanki captain, a front-line warband veteran, or as the focal piece of a Spelljammer encounter group.
A good match for adventurers who:
- Are running a Spelljammer, Astral Plane, or mind flayer campaign arc
- Need a Githyanki captain or warband leader with genuine visual authority
- Want a dual-wielding fighter or barbarian mini with non-standard fantasy aesthetics
- Are building a display collection of Gith warriors across multiple poses
- Play or DM encounters where the Gith are more than just background threats
Encounter Hook:
The party's spelljammer drops out of the Astral Sea directly into a patrol route — and this warrior was already waiting. He steps forward from the prow of a githyanki nautiloid, twin blades raised, and says nothing. He doesn't need to. Behind him, six more warriors are moving to encircle the ship. The party has exactly one round to decide: fight, flee, or try to talk their way out of a misunderstanding they don't fully understand yet.
