Gilbert is a warrior of the light in every sense: a hooded, white-bearded veteran whose heavy plate speaks of decades in service to something greater than himself. Whether you play him as a battle-scarred paladin, a holy fighter sworn to an ancient order, or a morally complex NPC who once did terrible things for righteous reasons, Gilbert radiates the kind of lived-in gravitas that DMs dream of. His flowing robes beneath articulated armour mark him as a warrior-priest as much as a soldier — and that enormous runic greatsword suggests he has never once been the one to blink first.
This is the complete Gilbert bundle from Great Grimoire's Light Warriors range, giving you all five sculpts in a single order. The five poses capture a full arc of action: from an at-rest, commanding stance through to mid-stride aggression, sword raised overhead, and a two-handed low guard with a prayer scroll in the off hand. Each pose tells a different story at the table, making Gilbert equally compelling as a recurring NPC across multiple sessions or as a cohesive warband of veteran crusaders.
Well suited for adventurers who:
- Need a commanding paladin or fighter NPC with genuine visual presence
- Are building a holy order, veteran mercenary company, or knightly faction
- Want five distinct poses of the same iconic character for varied encounters or narrative beats
- Are collectors looking for a complete character study to paint across multiple sculpts
- Play clerics or fighters and want a miniature that matches the weight of the class
Encounter Hook:
The party has been tracking a heretical cult for three sessions — and when they finally corner the cult's enforcer, it is not a demon or a witch. It is Gilbert: an ageing warrior in battered holy armour, sword already drawn, who calmly informs them that the cult's leader was dead before he arrived. He needs their help to prove it, and he has perhaps six hours before the Inquisitors his order sent decide he is complicit. The clock is ticking, and Gilbert does not kneel for anyone.
This bundle includes all five 32mm Gilbert sculpts from Great Grimoire — each a different pose and, in some cases, a different weapon configuration. Printed unpainted and ready for priming and painting, though they display beautifully straight off the build plate. Five miniatures for less than buying them individually, with the full range in hand.
