The Gil-Man is the stuff of coastal nightmares — a towering, fish-headed humanoid whose scaled and segmented body speaks to millennia of evolution in the lightless deep. Broad-shouldered and predatory, with webbed taloned feet, a serrated dorsal crest, and clawed hands that suggest both grasping and rending, this creature carries the weight of something that has never once feared anything above the waterline. Whether you use it as a monstrous threat lurking in tidal caves, a corrupted guardian of a sunken temple, or a Deep One-style herald of something far worse beneath the waves, the Gil-Man commands the table the moment it hits the mat.
This bundle includes two distinct sculpts from the Gil-Man range by Yasashii Kyojin Studio. The first depicts the creature fully upright in two separate poses — one with arms spread in a threatening display, the other with both clawed hands raised as if commanding the tide — while a third sculpt shows the Gil-Man emerging torso-first from the earth or water, ideal for ambush scenarios or dramatic reveal moments. Each sculpt captures the same fearsome anatomy from a different angle, giving Dungeon Masters genuine variety across a single encounter or a multi-wave aquatic assault.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Run coastal, underwater, or swamp-based D&D campaigns and want a creature with genuine visual menace
- Need a memorable boss encounter at 32mm scale that reads clearly across the table
- Want a characterful display piece that earns its place on the shelf next to the bookshelf's Monster Manual
- Prefer to buy the complete set rather than hunting individual variants separately
Encounter Hook:
The dockmaster's ledger lists seven fishing vessels lost in the past fortnight — all within half a mile of the old sunken fort. When the party investigates the wreckage of the latest, they find the hull staved in from the outside, claw marks raked along every timber, and something enormous circling slowly just beneath the surface. It surfaces at dusk, and it is not alone.
This bundle contains 2 Gil-Man miniatures, scaled to 32mm. All pieces arrive cleaned of major supports and fully cured, ready for priming and painting or use straight from the box. Minor surface marks from the printing process are possible — these are easily addressed with light sanding before undercoating. Both miniatures are equally well-suited to tabletop gaming and display collecting.
