The Gil-Man is a hulking, bipedal sea creature that straddles the line between humanoid threat and primal horror. This sculpt from Yasashii Kyojin Studio captures him in a confrontational stance — broad-shouldered and barrel-chested, with segmented, chitinous hide rippling across his torso and thighs, webbed taloned feet planted wide, and one clawed hand raised in a gesture that could be warning or challenge. The fish-like face, crested with a ridge of dorsal spines, gives him the unsettling quality of something that has observed the surface world for far too long. He is unmistakably a creature of the deep — not a servant of it, but a sovereign of it.

This is pose 01 of the Gil-Man range from Yasashii Kyojin Studio. Where pose 02 channels raw elemental fury with trailing fin-blades extended low, this first pose puts the Gil-Man front and centre — upright, watchful, and utterly commanding. Both are rendered as clean digital sculpts photographed in unpainted grey, showing off the exceptional surface detail that rewards careful brushwork. Whether you run him as a Merrow warlord, a Sahuagin champion, or a wholly original coastal monstrosity, he brings immediate dramatic weight to the tabletop.

Well-suited for adventurers who:

  • Need a distinctive boss monster for a coastal, underwater, or river-delta encounter
  • Are building a campaign around aquatic threats, flooded ruins, or a sea-going hex crawl
  • Want a centrepiece miniature that doubles as a display piece between sessions
  • Paint fish-folk, amphibious creatures, or Lovecraftian horrors for hobby collections

Encounter Hook:
The fishing village of Saltmere has been leaving tribute on the rocks at low tide for three generations — and it has always been enough. This season, something changed. The tribute was returned untouched, and one of the fishermen who rowed out to retrieve it did not come back. His boat was found beached at dawn, intact, with a single set of enormous three-toed prints leading inland.

Printed at 32mm scale. Available with or without a plain black base — the base is unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all resin printing, minor surface marks are possible and easily tidied up. Each piece is fully cured before leaving our studio.
