Description

Something vast and ravenous has unfurled at the heart of the swamp — a creature that was never truly a plant, and never truly an animal, but something far worse than either.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Giga Flytrap Rage is a large-scale nightmare of chitin, spines, and snapping maws — a carnivorous plant creature pushed far beyond anything a simple garden hedge maze could threaten. Sculpted by Epic Miniatures, this beast sits on a 51mm large base and commands the table with its dramatic, aggressive pose: arms raised wide, one ending in a serrated snap-jaw lined with inward-curving teeth, the other a fan of vicious spines splayed like a threat display. A second maw opens somewhere in its torso, and additional spined fronds flare from its back like a grotesque crown.

The sculpt is packed with surface detail — ridged bark-like skin on its limbs, overlapping chitin plates across its body, layered scales, and bristling rows of thorns at every joint. The pose captures it mid-lunge, low to the ground on root-like legs with a tail of twisted wood trailing behind. Whether you're running a Gulthias Tree encounter, a corrupted Feywild grove, or a wilderness ambush with genuinely terrifying stakes, this creature brings an immediate sense of scale and menace to the table.

For painters, the layered textures across bark, chitin, and fleshy interior surfaces offer a tremendous canvas — the contrast between the woody exterior and the wet, organic interiors of its jaws is particularly compelling to pick out in contrasting earthy greens, deep reds, and bone whites.

A great choice for adventurers who:

  • Run wilderness, swamp, or corrupted forest encounters and need a Large-sized plant horror
  • Want a centrepiece creature with enough sculpt complexity to reward detailed painting
  • Are building out a plant-themed encounter group or a Feywild corruption arc
  • Collect display-worthy monster miniatures with genuine table presence

Encounter Hook: The party follows a trail of stripped bones into a fog-choked fen, only to find the missing hunters half-digested in a nest of hollow husks. As the druid reaches out with Speak with Plants, something at the nest's centre unfolds — the Giga Flytrap Rage was never sleeping. It was waiting for exactly this many warm bodies to arrive at once.
