The Gibbering Mouther is one of D&D's most unsettling aberrations: a roiling, fleshy mass of eyes, snapping mouths, and grasping tendrils that defies easy classification and resists easy killing. This sculpt from MZ4250 captures everything that makes the creature so deeply wrong — the wide central maw lined with jagged teeth, the writhing tentacles curling and reaching in every direction, and the textured, warty body covered in floral-like nodules that hint at something almost organic, almost alive, almost purposeful. It sits low and heavy on its base, suggesting something that doesn't so much move as ooze into the space it occupies.
For Dungeon Masters, this mini does exactly what a Gibbering Mouther should: it unnerves players before the dice have even been rolled. The sculpt rewards a careful paint job — deep cavity washes in the mouths, glazed eyes scattered across the body, and contrast between the pale, sickly flesh and the darker, wetter-looking tentacles — but it reads clearly and menacingly straight off the base even unpainted. Whether it's anchoring a horror encounter or sitting on a display shelf as a centrepiece aberration, this one earns its place.

Encounter Hook:
The cultists' ritual chamber looks abandoned — until the party notices that the altar is breathing. The Gibbering Mouther has been here for weeks, slowly consuming the remains of the failed ritual, and it has grown used to being the only thing left alive in the room. It does not intend to change that.
Supplied as a single piece attached to its base, scaled to 32mm. Supports are removed before dispatch. As with all hand-finished resin pieces, minor surface marks are possible — these are easily tidied up before priming. The mini is fully cured and ready for paint or play straight away.
