It does not walk, it does not speak — it simply arrives, and the gibbering begins.

The Gibbering Mouther is one of the most unsettling creatures in the D&D bestiary — not because it is powerful, but because it is wrong. A roiling, fleshy mass of mismatched eyes and snapping mouths, this aberration defies any natural classification. Its constant babbling drives nearby creatures to distraction, its body reshapes the very ground beneath it, and it absorbs whatever it catches into the mass. No dungeon is too dark for it. No sewer too forgotten. It is simply there, waiting, hungry, and incoherent.

This sculpt by Monster Atlas captures every grotesque detail — a central gaping maw full of ragged teeth dominates the upper form, flanked by bulging eyes on writhing stalks, while the lower body is smothered in half-formed faces, closed eyes, and more snapping mouths still emerging from the flesh. It is a spectacular piece for Dungeon Masters who want their aberrations to genuinely unsettle the party, and an equally compelling centrepiece for display collectors who appreciate the truly weird corners of fantasy creature design.

Suited to adventurers who:

  • Run Underdark campaigns and need creatures that feel genuinely alien
  • Want a memorable encounter monster that stops the table in its tracks
  • Collect aberrations, horrors, or creatures from the D&D bestiary
  • Enjoy painting characterful, texture-heavy sculpts with lots of detail to work with

Encounter Hook:
The party descends into the flooded lower level of the ruined wizard's tower — and realises, too late, that the wet, shifting sound they assumed was water is not water at all. Something has been living in the dark here for a very long time, and it has learned to wait quietly. Until now.

Details

Supplied at 32mm scale. The miniature and decorative base are separate pieces and fit together with a small amount of super glue — the sculpt is designed to work with its base, so we recommend displaying them together. Supplied unpainted and ready for priming. Minor marks from the printing process are possible but easily tidied up; each piece is fully cured before dispatch.
