The Giant Spider is a staple of Underdark encounters and forest delves alike — but this sculpt from Epic Miniatures raises the bar considerably. The bulbous, hair-textured abdomen is beautifully detailed with segmented plates and fine surface texture that rewards careful brushwork. The cephalothorax features a pronounced, almost armoured brow ridge, and the multi-clustered eye arrangement gives the face an alien, predatory intensity that no amount of description quite prepares you for across the table.

Eight articulated legs splay wide from a low-slung body, giving this creature a genuinely threatening spread. The pedipalps — those smaller grasping limbs at the front — are sharply detailed with hooked tips, while the chelicerae (the primary mouthparts) are heavy, downward-curving, and unmistakably built for piercing. This is a creature that looks like it hunts, not one that simply lurks.
