Giant Spider 04 by Yasashii Kyojin Studios
Description
It descended from the darkness above without a sound — eight segmented legs spreading wide as the silk thread drew taut, and the party realised, too late, that the ceiling had always been alive.

This is Giant Spider 04 from Yasashii Kyojin Studio, and it is not your standard dungeon-floor creepy-crawly. At 120mm tall, this sculpt depicts a colossal arachnid suspended mid-descent on its own silk thread — eight long, knuckled legs splayed outward, a swollen abdomen hanging beneath a smooth, domed cephalothorax, and a grotesque fused face visible in the body's underside. The hanging pose is what sets this variant apart: it reads instantly as an ambush predator dropping from a cavern ceiling, a forest canopy, or a drow-controlled undercroft. The jointed, textured legs carry exceptional surface detail — each segment showing fine chitin-like banding and small bristled nodes — making this a rewarding piece to paint with washes and drybrushing.
At four times the scale of a standard 32mm mini, this beast commands the table. Whether it's serving as a Giant Spider encounter, a Phase Spider dropping in from the Ethereal Plane, or a monstrous centrepiece in a Lolth-themed set piece, it earns its place. Equally at home on a gaming table or displayed on a shelf, it's the kind of sculpt that makes players genuinely hesitant to look up.
A good fit for adventurers who:
- Run Underdark, drow, or web-choked dungeon encounters
- Want a large-scale spider centrepiece for D&D 5e or other TTRPGs
- Enjoy painting detailed creature miniatures with layered texture
- Collect high-detail fantasy monster miniatures for display
- Need a memorable boss-tier encounter piece that reads clearly from across the table
Encounter Hook:
The party enters the Vault of Silken Chains — a collapsed temple to Lolth now thick with ancient webbing. Halfway across the main chamber, the torchlight catches movement directly overhead: eight legs, slowly spreading, as a shape the size of a cart wheel begins its descent on a single thread of web. The rogue's Stealth check doesn't matter now. Nothing does except initiative.
Supplied unpainted and ready for priming. Printed at 120mm scale (approximately four times standard 32mm scale). Minor surface imperfections inherent to the printing process may occasionally occur; any residual marks are easily addressed before painting.
