This is the Giant Spider 02 from Primal Collectibles' Dragon Blade range, and it is a creature built for the kind of encounter players will be talking about for sessions to come. The sculpt presents the spider in a menacing forward-leaning stance — eight scythe-like legs splayed wide, fanged chelicerae raised and ready, and a cluster of blank, glassy eyes that convey nothing but hunger. The rocky base is scattered with skulls and the remnants of previous victims, telling a story before a single die has been rolled. This is the haunt of something old and territorial.

Encounter Hook:
The party follows the trail of a missing merchant into a collapsed mine tunnel. The webs begin at the second junction — thick, yellowed, wound around the support timbers like rope. At the third junction, there are no timbers left, only silk. The torchlight catches eight eyes at ceiling height, and something the size of a draft horse drops silently to the floor between the party and the way out.
