Description

From beneath the bioluminescent shallows of the Feywild's hidden coasts, it surges forward — a creature that looks as though the sea itself decided to build something that could fight back.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Giant Peacock Mantis Shrimp is one of those creatures that feels born from a Dungeon Master's most inspired session notes. Equal parts alien and terrifying, this sculpt captures the creature mid-lunge: its segmented, plate-armoured body arched forwards, its raptorial claws fanned out and ready to strike, and its spiny tail anchored in the seafloor debris beneath it. Every overlapping shell plate, every articulated limb, and every serrated edge at the base reads with the kind of anatomical specificity that makes painters and collectors lean in for a closer look. This is a creature that belongs in the deep trenches of the Feywild's coastal margins, in the flooded caverns of the Underdark, or anywhere your players were starting to feel a little too comfortable near water.

Whether you're running a nautical campaign, a Feywild excursion, or simply want a genuinely unsettling large creature encounter, this miniature brings something genuinely different to the table. It works equally well as a painted display piece — the surface detail rewards layered washes and iridescent highlights — as it does anchoring a dramatic combat encounter on your battlemap.

Suited to adventurers who:

  • Run Feywild, coastal, or Underdark campaigns and want memorable monster variety
  • Are looking for a large creature miniature that holds its own on a display shelf
  • Paint minis and want a piece with rich surface texture and sculptural depth
  • Want an encounter piece that makes players immediately reconsider their positioning

Encounter Hook:
The tide pool has been feeding the village for generations — until last week, when the nets started coming back shredded and the fishermen stopped coming back at all. Three days into investigating the coastal caves, the party rounds a flooded passage and hears something crack stone with a single strike. The water ahead begins to ripple.

Details

What's included:
Printed at 32mm scale. Two base options are available: a detailed scenic base (creature attached, one piece) or a plain base (base detached, easily affixed with glue). The sculpt ships unpainted and ready for priming. We inspect every piece before dispatch — while the nature of high-detail resin printing means minor marks are occasionally possible, these are easily tidied up at the priming stage.

The cats attempted a Sleight of Hand check on the bubble wrap. We do not discuss what happened.
