Description

Deep in the webbed tunnels beneath the city, where Drow sentinels ride creatures that most surface-dwellers will never live to describe, something vast and many-legged stirs in the dark.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This Giant Dungeon Spider from Epic Miniatures is a large-category miniature sculpted with extraordinary surface detail — the swollen, bulbous abdomen is covered in layered chitin plates and organic engravings, while eight long, blade-tipped legs splay wide in an aggressive, low-to-ground stance. The cephalothorax carries visible fang-like chelicerae, and every segment of each leg shows the kind of textural articulation that makes this creature feel genuinely alive on the tabletop.

Designed as a spider mount, this miniature is scaled generously — as shown in the render's size comparison inset, it dwarfs a standard d20. That bulk makes it a natural fit as a ridden beast for Drow cavalry, a Drider's pack-animal, or simply a terrifying wandering monster that earns its encounter rating the moment adventurers lay eyes on it. The sculpt is rendered as a digital render in warm amber resin tone, unpainted, showing off every surface detail with clarity.

Whether you're building out a Drow warband with arachnid mounts, staging a web-strewn Underdark ambush, or putting a fearsome centrepiece creature on the table for your next dungeon delve, this spider delivers presence that demands attention from across the room.

This miniature works especially well for adventurers who:

  • Run Underdark or Drow-focused campaigns and want mounted spider cavalry
  • Need a large creature encounter that reads as an immediate physical threat
  • Want a display-worthy beast miniature with exceptional surface sculpting
  • Are building out a spider lair, web-filled dungeon, or Drider encounter zone
  • Play or DM campaigns inspired by classic Forgotten Realms Underdark lore

Encounter Hook: The party has been hired to recover a Drow noble's stolen signet ring from a rival house. They track it to a guard post deep in a fungus-lit cavern — only to find the two sentinels mounted on Giant Dungeon Spiders, waiting in absolute silence in the shadows above the entrance. Initiative is rolled before anyone even sees the webs.
