- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
The Nix Centipede is a frost-hardened predator built for frozen wilderness encounters and subterranean arctic horror. This sculpt captures the creature mid-rise, its armoured thorax rearing up with a maw full of fangs wide open, long hooked antennae swept back and dozens of barbed, clawed legs braced across a snow-dusted base. The segmented body is encrusted with spines and overlapping chitinous plates, and every joint communicates something deeply hostile. This is not a creature that has ever lost a fight it started.
Whether you're running an icebound hex-crawl, a frozen underdark expedition, or simply want a centipede that looks like it could crack a dwarf's shield in two, the Nix Centipede earns its place on the table. It works equally well as a roaming wilderness encounter, a dungeon guardian, or a centrepiece on a display shelf for fans of arthropod horror done right.
Fits adventurers who:
- Run arctic, tundra, or frozen underdark campaigns
- Want a large, visually distinct Beast or Monstrosity encounter
- Are building a bestiary display collection with genuine variety
- Need a creature that reads as dangerous from the moment it hits the table
Encounter Hook:
The ranger's tracks stop dead at a wide furrow in the snow — eight feet across and heading straight for the collapsed mineshaft entrance where the rest of the party is sheltering. Whatever made this groove didn't slow down, and the ground is still vibrating underfoot.
Details
This miniature is printed at 32mm scale and comes with a sculpted snow-texture base as a separate piece, designed to be attached with a small amount of superglue. The model and base interact closely in pose, so the base is well worth including. Supplied unprimed and unpainted, ready for your paint scheme or striking straight from the shelf as a grey resin display piece.
