Description

Something vast and leathery stirs in the darkness below — bound in chains it should not be able to break, yet straining against them all the same.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

Sonari the Bridled is no ordinary giant bat. This is a monstrosity dragged up from the deepest recesses of the Underdark and forced into servitude by someone — or something — with the will and the power to chain it. Every surface of the sculpt tells that story: thick iron links pierce and wrap the creature's body, spines and ridged musculature ripple across its torso, and its broad leathery wings stretch wide in a pose of barely-contained fury. A coiling, ringed tail trails behind it, and the clawed feet grip the rocky rubble base as though it is moments away from launching skyward. The face is a snarling, hollow-eyed nightmare — not mindless, but furious.

Whether you cast Sonari as a Drow-tamed war beast, a Fiend-bound aerial guardian, or a once-enslaved creature finally snapping its chains mid-encounter, this miniature carries the weight of its lore in every detail. It works equally well as a centrepiece boss monster on the gaming table or as a display piece that commands attention on any shelf.

Well-suited to adventurers who:

  • Need a large-scale flying boss monster for their Underdark or cavernous dungeon encounters
  • Are building encounters around Drow warlords, Abyssal cults, or bound horrors
  • Want a distinctive display miniature that rewards close-up painting of wing membranes, chain links, and spine details
  • Are looking for a dramatic, high-detail centrepiece for a mid-to-high tier D&D 5e campaign

Encounter Hook:
The adventurers descend into the Drow outpost expecting guards — instead they find every soldier torn apart, the iron chains that once anchored the creature to the cavern wall ripped clean from the rock. Then, from the darkness above the mushroom canopy, they hear the rhythmic beat of enormous wings, and something screams that is not quite a bat and not quite a voice.

Details

Sonari is supplied at 32mm scale and comes with a detailed rubble and rock base, which is a separate piece — attach with a small amount of superglue. The model and base are designed to interact, and the creature looks its most imposing when displayed together. Supplied unpainted and ready to prime.
