The Ghoul Gravecaller is a creature of frantic, desperate hunger — and this sculpt captures that energy with extraordinary detail. She lunges forward in a low, predatory crouch, one clawed hand raking the air ahead of her whilst the other fans out at her side, fingers splayed and grasping. Her robes billow and tear around her as she surges forward, the fabric pooling and shredding at the hem. A crown of dried flowers sits tangled in her long, matted hair — a grim reminder of whatever ritual elevated her to this wretched station. Ropes of knotted bone fetishes hang from her belt and wrists, clattering as she moves, each one a trophy or a ward or perhaps both.
Her face is contorted mid-shriek: sunken cheeks, hollow eyes, a mouth stretched wide — not in pain but in command. This is no shambling revenant. The Gravecaller is purposeful, frenzied, and terrifyingly fast. The sculpt communicates all of this without a single wasted line, from the tension in her outstretched arm to the way her robes sweep dramatically behind her as if she has just lunged into a sprint. The bone fetishes have been sculpted with genuine care — each one individually knotted, each strand draped naturally against the flow of the figure's movement.
Whether she's the high-undead-priestess BBEG your players have been dreading, a powerful minion summoning reinforcements mid-combat, or a wandering gravecaller haunting an abandoned village, this mini brings real visual menace to the table. She's equally compelling as a centrepiece display piece — painted in sickly greens, bone whites, and rot-stained ochres, she'd be a showstopper on any hobby shelf.
Well suited to adventurers who:
- Run horror-flavoured campaigns in Ravenloft, the Shadowfell, or cursed wilderness settings
- Want a necromancer-type undead with distinct visual personality beyond the standard ghoul
- Need a mid-tier BBEG or powerful encounter villain with a clear visual narrative
- Love painting dynamic, expressive sculpts with strong shadow-catching surfaces
- Are building an undead encounter group and want a commanding centrepiece figure
Encounter Hook: The party arrives at the village of Mournfield to find the graveyard freshly disturbed — earth turned, coffins cracked open from within, and a trail of bone-dust leading into the marsh. At the heart of the bog they find her: the Gravecaller, hip-deep in dark water, arms raised, a dozen half-formed corpses dragging themselves from the mud around her. She doesn't stop chanting when she sees them. She just smiles.
