Description

This Ghoul / Ghast miniature from MZ4250 captures the creature at its most predatory: bald, sinewy, and barely dressed in tattered rags, its muscles coiled mid-stalk with both sets of claws extended and ready to rake. The sculpt leans into the ghoul's cursed half-humanity — pointed ears, a face twisted with hunger, bandaged forearms, and bare clawed feet that speak of something that was once a person and has long since ceased to be one. Whether you're running it as a standard ghoul or upgrading it to the paralysing menace of a ghast, this sculpt carries the threat convincingly.
Ghouls thrive in graveyards, catacombs, plague pits, and the sunless passages beneath corrupted cities. They work well as pack hunters closing in on a wounded party, as shock troops for a necromancer's warband, or as the horrifying result of a town that didn't bury its dead carefully enough. The pose here reads as active aggression — this is not a ghoul shambling aimlessly, it is one that has already picked its target.
Suited to adventurers who:
- Run undead-heavy campaigns or Ravenloft-adjacent settings
- Need a ghoul that reads as a genuine threat on the table
- Want a characterful monster for painting projects or display shelves
- Are building a pack of ghouls and need a centrepiece pose
Encounter Hook:
The party is hired to escort a coffin to a family crypt at dusk. Three hours into the journey, the pallbearers are dead and the coffin is open — and something ahead on the road is still chewing.
