This is Ghoul 10 from Novaminis, the tenth sculpt in their ghoul range, and one of the most unsettling of the series. Where some ghouls crouch or lunge, this one walks with a terrible, unhurried confidence — arms outstretched, taloned fingers spread wide, a tattered shroud hanging from its emaciated frame like the remnants of whatever burial rites once tried to keep it down. The sunken chest, pointed ears, and that ghastly elongated jaw give it a distinctly predatory character, somewhere between a classical undead horror and something far older and stranger. The stitched fabric draped across its torso adds a layer of grim history — this was once dressed by someone, once mourned, once interred. It did not stay interred.

Whether you're fielding a pack of ghouls in a catacomb encounter or placing a single terrifying specimen at the centre of a necromantic ritual, this sculpt brings genuine menace to the table. It holds its own equally well on a display shelf, where the dynamic pose and fine surface detail reward a careful paint job — pale necrotic flesh, rusted stains on the burial wrappings, blackened claw tips.

Encounter Hook:
The party has tracked the missing grave-robbers to the old Ashfeld mausoleum. Inside, they find the thieves' tools scattered across the floor — but not the thieves. Then one of them hears breathing from the dark at the far end of the chamber. It is slow. It is patient. And when the lantern swings toward it, the ghoul's arms are already spread wide.

Scaled to 32mm and suited to any standard gaming grid. Available with or without a plain black base — the base is supplied unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. As with all hand-finished pieces, minor surface marks from the support removal process are possible; these are easily addressed during preparation and painting.
