This is pose 4 of the Novaminis Ghoul range, and it's one of the most unsettling of the set. Hunched low beneath a tattered hooded cowl — stitched crudely across the back and fraying at the hem — this ghoul reaches forward with a grotesquely elongated hand, fingers splayed wide, talons ready to rake. In its other hand it clutches a small skull or trophy, a grim keepsake from a previous meal. The exposed torso beneath the robes is gaunt and emaciated, every rib visible, while the creature's bare feet and feral crouch suggest something that has fully abandoned any memory of humanity. The face, half-shadowed by the cowl, shows sunken sockets, a wide-stretched jaw, and the hollow hunger that defines a ghoul. Paralysing claws and all.
Whether you're running a necromancer's tomb, a plague-ravaged city district, or a cult that has fallen rather too far into dark ritual, this miniature earns its place on the table — and equally on a display shelf where the detail in those flowing, shadow-pooled robes can be properly appreciated. Works brilliantly alongside other poses in the range to build a cohesive, varied pack of ghouls that never looks repetitive.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Need a ghoul that reads as a genuine threat rather than a generic shambler
- Are building a Ravenloft, undead dungeon, or necromancer encounter
- Want a display piece that rewards close-up viewing and careful painting
- Are collecting the full Novaminis Ghoul set for a varied undead warband
Encounter Hook:
The party follows the trail of missing townsfolk into the old charnel district — and finds one of the missing persons standing very still in a doorway, head bowed beneath a ragged hood, one arm extended as though offering a greeting. It is not offering a greeting.
Scaled to 32mm. Available with or without a plain black base; the base is supplied unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. Each miniature is printed to a high standard — supports are removed before dispatch, though minor marks from the printing process can occasionally occur and are easily tidied up. Fully cured and ready for priming and painting, or use straight from the box.
