This is Ghoul 03, the third sculpt in Yasashii Kyojin Studio's ghoul range, and it captures everything that makes ghouls so unsettling at the table. The figure is caught mid-lunge — torso pitched forward, one leg driving hard off the ground, its elongated clawed hands dangling low and hungry. The face is locked in a feral, open-mouthed snarl, every sinew in the neck and shoulders pulled taut. Strips of grave-cloth are bound around the forearms and shins, hinting at a body dragged up from a burial pit not long ago. The anatomy is lean and wrong in all the right ways — too gaunt, too stretched, too close to human.
Whether you're running a graveyard ambush, a catacomb crawl, or a horror-tinged encounter in a plague-hit city quarter, this pose reads instantly as something dangerous and closing fast. It's equally at home on a display shelf, where the dynamic stance and sculpted musculature reward close attention from any angle. Pair it with the other ghouls in the range to build a proper shambling pack.
A good fit for adventurers who:
- Need a characterful ghoul mini that reads as genuinely threatening on the battle map
- Are running undead-heavy campaigns — Curse of Strahd, Tomb of Annihilation, homebrew horror arcs
- Want a strong centrepiece for a pack of undead enemies
- Collect and paint TTRPG monsters and appreciate anatomically detailed sculpts
- Are building a display diorama featuring undead creatures
Encounter Hook:
The party tracks a missing gravedigger to the old ossuary beneath the chapel — and finds him crouched in the dark, clawing at the flagstones, no longer quite himself. He's not alone, and the others haven't eaten in days.
