Description

He never stopped teaching — even after the last candle guttered out, the last student fled, and the last breath left his body.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Ghost Professor is a haunting figure of scholarly menace: wild, branch-like protrusions erupting from his dishevelled hair, a long weathered coat layered with belts and pouches, and one gaunt hand raised to his face in a gesture of cold, calculating thought. His robes dissolve at the hem into spectral tatters, and beneath his feet the base is strewn with skulls — the remnants of lessons taught and prices paid. This is not a mere wandering spirit; this is an intellect that refused to die, bound to a place of knowledge by obsession, regret, or something darker still.

Whether you cast him as an ancient archmage whose tower has become his tomb, a cursed headmaster of a forgotten academy, or a lichy scholar whose phylactery is hidden somewhere in his own lecture notes, he brings unmistakable presence to any encounter. Equally compelling on the tabletop and on a display shelf, he rewards a careful painter with extraordinary detail — every button on his coat, every skull on his base, every wisp of ethereal fabric tells a story.

A good fit for adventurers who:

  • Run Ravenloft, haunted academy, or cursed library campaigns
  • Need an undead NPC with gravitas and academic menace
  • Want a centrepiece ghost or lich-adjacent villain for D&D 5e
  • Are building a display collection of characterful undead miniatures
  • Love painting complex robes, aged details, and spectral bases

Encounter Hook:
The party arrives at the ruins of the Valdenmoor Collegium seeking a lost spell codex — only to find every classroom still occupied. At the head of the grand lecture hall stands the Professor, chalk in hand, addressing rows of empty desks. He turns slowly. "Ah," he says, "new students. Take your seats. The examination… has already begun."
