Description

Where the deep earth meets raw arcane power, something ancient and crystalline stirs — and it has already seen you.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This hulking crystal elemental is a creature born from the pressures of the deep earth — its entire body a jagged mass of interlocking gemstone shards, angular facets, and erupting crystal spines. The sculpt captures it mid-lunge, one enormous arm raised and cocked back with a slab of raw stone ready to bring down on whatever unfortunate adventurer has disturbed its domain. Every surface is alive with detail: overlapping crystal plates across the torso, shattered-stone limbs tapering to claw-like points, and a crest of blade-sharp mineral growths framing its featureless, ancient face.

The base is equally characterful — a craggy cave floor with stalactites hanging beneath the sculpt's raised foot, rune-carved stone edging, and a shallow pool of exposed crystal beneath the rock. It reads as a creature that has emerged directly from the earth itself, barely distinguishable from the cavern walls until it moves. The dynamic pose gives it genuine presence on the tabletop, and the level of textural detail across the crystals and broken stone surfaces makes it a deeply rewarding painting project for adventurers who want to experiment with gemstone OSL effects or natural mineral tones.

As a display piece, the Gemstone Monstrosity is a centrepiece in waiting — the kind of sculpt that earns its own shelf space. As an encounter monster, it fits naturally into elemental plane incursions, deep Underdark encounters, or any campaign arc involving earth magic gone wrong.

A great choice for adventurers who:

  • Run Underdark or elemental plane encounters and want a visually distinctive brute
  • Are looking for an earth elemental variant with far more character than the standard stat block suggests
  • Want a miniature that rewards detailed painting — OSL, gemstone effects, and mineral textures all have room to shine here
  • Need a physically imposing monster that reads as a threat the moment it hits the table

Encounter Hook: The party has been hired to retrieve a cache of dragonshards from an abandoned mine — but three days in, the walls begin to move. What the miners thought was natural crystal growth has been slowly assembling itself into something with intent. The Gemstone Monstrosity doesn't speak. It doesn't negotiate. It simply raises one arm, and the tunnel shakes.
