The Gem Eater Chase is a thoroughly unsettling piece of creature design — a hunched, muscular aberration mid-lunge, every limb splayed with predatory intent. Its torso is studded with a ridge of wicked bony spines, and its four limbs end in long, curving talons that look built for gripping as much as rending. There's something disturbingly humanoid about its proportions — wide shoulders, a swollen, rounded gut restrained by a crude belt — which only makes its alien posture more unnerving.
