Description

It was not built to be feared — fear simply became an unavoidable consequence of the engineering.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Gearworm Serpent is a towering, mechanical horror: a vast coiled serpent whose scaled body is segmented with interlocking gear rings, armoured plating, and exposed mechanical joints. Its skull-like head rears back with jaws wide open, revealing serrated teeth and the churning gears within its throat. This is no creature of flesh — it is ancient artificery made manifest, a guardian-construct whose maker has long since turned to dust while the machine continues its vigil without question or mercy.

Details

This is a display-scale piece, substantially larger than a standard 32mm miniature. The coiled, pillar-like form gives it tremendous table presence — the kind that makes players lean forward the moment it appears. Whether you're placing it as the centrepiece of a mechanical dungeon, an awakened ruin guardian, or a BBEG construct encounter, this sculpt carries genuine menace and extraordinary detail across every scale and gear. It holds equal power as a display piece — painted in oxidised bronze, corroded iron, or eldritch green, this would command any shelf.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Need a centrepiece boss monster for a construct or artificer-themed encounter
  • Are building a mechanical dungeon, clockwork ruin, or arcane laboratory setting
  • Want a large-scale display piece with exceptional sculpted detail to paint
  • Are running a campaign where ancient magic meets dangerous engineering

Encounter Hook:
The party descends into the Vault of Kethros, long-sealed by the Artificer-Priests of the Brass Covenant. At the chamber's heart, coiled around the sealed door like a living lock, the Gearworm stirs — its gear-throat grinding to life for the first time in four centuries. It does not know the priests are dead. It knows only that the door must not be opened.

This model is supplied at display scale — the base measures 80mm, making it substantially larger than a standard 32mm miniature. This sizing is intentional, placing the Gearworm firmly in boss monster territory on the tabletop. The scenic rubble base is included and attaches separately with a small amount of glue. The model arrives ready for priming and painting, or can be used straight from the box. Some minor clean-up may be needed as part of the normal printing process.
