Description

They said the old gate had a keeper — something broad-shouldered and battle-scarred that had been collecting tolls in blood long before the city remembered its name.

  • ✔ Display-scale miniature — larger than standard 32mm gaming scale
  • ✔ Resin printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Equally suited to display shelves and the gaming table

The Gate Watcher is a formidable brute of a creature: barrel-chested, ring-nosed, and wearing the kind of expression that says it has been in more fights than you have had hot meals. Sculpted by Witchsong Miniatures, this figure captures a bestial warlord mid-roar, one arm raised high with a short blade clenched in its fist, the other hand braced on the rubble of a crumbled stone threshold. A barrel bristling with spears sits at its side — not a weapon rack so much as a declaration of intent. The base is richly detailed with broken flagstones and runic carvings, giving the whole piece the weight of a creature that has held this ground for a very long time and has absolutely no intention of giving it up.

Scaled larger than a standard 32mm miniature — the base measures 80mm — this is a display-scale centrepiece sculpt, built for boss encounters, villain reveals, and collector shelves alike. It arrives with the base detached for ease, ready to be affixed with a drop of glue before priming and painting, or displayed as-is straight out of the box.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Need a commanding BBEG or gate guardian for a dungeon or city encounter
  • Are building a campaign around territorial warlords, beast cults, or ancient ruins
  • Want a large-scale centrepiece for their display shelf or painting projects
  • Run encounters where sheer physical presence at the table does half the work

Encounter Hook:
The merchant convoy has been waiting at the old Thorngate crossing for three days — the guards sent to negotiate haven't returned, and something enormous keeps throwing the torches back across the bridge whenever the party tries to approach at night. When dawn finally breaks, the Gate Watcher is simply sitting there on the rubble, cleaning its blade, waiting to see who is brave enough to step forward.

Printed at 80mm base scale. The base arrives detached and can be attached with a small amount of glue. If you would like a different scale, feel free to message us and we'll see what we can arrange. The model is ready for priming and painting, or can be displayed straight away. Minor imperfections inherent to the printing process may occasionally occur — any remnant support marks are easily cleaned up.
