Description

He didn't earn that cutlass through diplomacy — Garrick Vex has boarded more ships than he can count, and every scar on his chest tells a story the other man didn't live to dispute.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

Garrick Vex cuts an imposing figure — a broad-shouldered, bald-headed brute of a man dressed in a billowing naval coat worn open at the chest, crossbody bandolier slung across his torso. He holds a heavy cutlass-style blade raised across one shoulder, its broad edge glinting with quiet menace, whilst his opposite hand grips what appears to be a belaying pin or cane, low at his side. His coat trails behind him in a dramatic sweep, buckled boots and layered belt finishing the look of a man who has clearly survived more than one mutiny.

The sculpt carries a confident, swaggering energy — feet planted wide, chin angled up, expression locked somewhere between a challenge and a threat. He reads equally well as a seasoned pirate captain, a mercenary sellsword, or a rogue who rolled high on Intimidation and never let anyone forget it. The detail in his coat lapels, hanging pouches, and facial expression rewards careful painting, making him a compelling project for brush work as much as a centrepiece for encounter tables.

Whether you're running a nautical campaign, a dockside crime syndicate arc, or simply need a hard-edged human fighter who looks like he owns every room he walks into, Garrick Vex delivers that energy in spades.

A great fit for adventurers who:

  • Need a charismatic but dangerous pirate captain or first mate NPC
  • Want a human fighter or rogue miniature with real character and swagger
  • Are building out a seafaring or port-city campaign with memorable faces
  • Enjoy painting detailed cloth, leather, and character expression on a single sculpt
  • Want a display piece that holds its own on a shelf alongside their painted collection

Encounter Hook: The party arrives at the harbour of Saltmere to negotiate passage south — only to find their would-be captain, Garrick Vex, mid-brawl with three dockworkers outside the Anchor & Flagon. He's winning. He's also the only one who knows the safe route through the Shearwind Straits, and he's just been accused of stealing the harbourmaster's manifest. Do the adventurers bail him out, or let events play out and negotiate from a position of strength?
