Description
It has perched on that cathedral wall for three centuries — but the tome it now clutches was not there yesterday.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
This gargoyle is no mindless sentinel. Sculpted in a crouched, predatory pose with its broad bat-like wings half-furled behind it, this creature grips a heavy rune-carved tome against its chest with both clawed hands — the posture of something that has claimed a prize and dares anyone to try taking it back. The angular, segmented stone texture across its body, the curling segmented tail coiling beneath it, and the horned, sneering face all suggest something ancient and deliberate. Whatever intelligence animates this creature, it is not benign.
Whether you use this as a Gargoyle straight from the Monster Manual, a cursed construct guarding a lich's library, or a unique boss encounter in a haunted archive, the sculpt carries enough detail to reward careful painting — deep crevices in the stonework, the raised glyphs on the tome's face, the leathery membrane of the wings. Equally at home on a gaming table or a collector's shelf.
Suited to adventurers who:
- Need a mid-tier construct or fiend encounter with genuine presence on the table
- Are building a haunted library, cursed cathedral, or planar gateway encounter
- Want a characterful boss monster that hints at forbidden knowledge
- Paint display-quality miniatures and want rich surface detail to work with
Encounter Hook:
The archivist's murder was ruled accidental — until the party notices the gargoyle on the east wall has moved three feet closer to the restricted vault, and the forbidden tome it clutches is one the head librarian swore was destroyed forty years ago.

What's included:
This is Gargoyle 01 from the Great Grimoire range, printed at 32mm scale. If you'd prefer a different scale, send us a message and we'll do our best to accommodate you. A plain black base is included as standard. If you select the Decorative Base option, please include a note at checkout to let us know which of the three base styles you'd like: the Book Scene (flagstone floor with scattered tomes and candelabra), the Pedestal Scene (ornate stepped plinth with ironwork banister), or the Gothic Box Scene (crenellated sarcophagus-style pedestal with skull relief). The base arrives separately and can be attached with a small amount of glue. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all resin printing, minor marks may occasionally remain and can be tidied up with ease before priming.
