The town square falls quiet as the party rounds the corner — the gallows stands ready, its noose swaying in a cold wind, a silent warning from whatever power rules this place.

This is the second variation in Novaminis' gallows series, and it brings a grimly evocative silhouette to any tabletop setting. The sculpt features a raised wooden platform with a trapdoor cut into the deck, a four-step staircase leading up from the side, and a sturdy upright post with a crossbeam overhead — from which hangs a coiled hemp noose, knotted with impressive detail. The grain and plank lines across every surface give the piece a convincingly weathered, timber-built feel.
Where the first gallows in the range leans toward a simpler construction, this variation offers a fuller staging area — the raised platform and staircase make it a focal point rather than background dressing. Whether placed in a corrupt lord's courtyard, a frontier settlement, or the outskirts of a Ravenloft village, it immediately tells a story without a word of narration needed.
Unpainted, it accepts primer and paint beautifully — dark oak washes, pale weathered wood, or even a rotten green will all bring different moods out of this piece.

Encounter Hook
The party arrives in Harrowfield to find the local herbalist already condemned — three days until the hanging, the evidence planted, and the magistrate's guards watching every road out. The gallows stands in the square for all to see, fresh timber still smelling of the sawmill. The party has until dawn to find proof, bribe the right gaoler, or arrange something considerably less legal.
