Description

In the lightless caverns beneath the world, a soft keening rises from the fungal dark — and every creature within earshot knows the colony has been disturbed.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Fungus Shrieker is one of the Underdark's most unsettling environmental hazards: a towering, hollow-capped mushroom whose pore-riddled cap emits a piercing shriek at the first sign of movement. This sculpt captures it in convincing botanical detail — the thick, fibrous stalk flares outward at the base with gnarled root-claws gripping the ground, while the broad cap is riddled with wide, dark pores, each one a potential shriek waiting to happen. It reads immediately as both organic and deeply wrong, which is exactly what a Shrieker should be.

Whether you're seeding a myconid colony, designing a pressure-trap encounter in a cave system, or simply populating your Underdark scatter terrain with something that rewards close inspection, this miniature earns its place on the table. It's equally at home as a display piece for collectors who appreciate well-realised creature sculpts from the D&D monster compendium.

A great pick for adventurers who:

  • Run Underdark campaigns or Out of the Abyss-style adventures
  • Need environmental hazard pieces that double as terrain
  • Collect D&D monster miniatures for display or gaming use
  • Want a characterful scatter piece that rewards paintwork — those pores are begging for a wash

Encounter Hook:
The party enters a wide cavern strewn with oversized mushrooms. Their ranger identifies three Shriekers near the far passage — and something much larger sleeping just beyond them. Getting through without waking it means navigating the fungi without triggering a single alarm. Initiative hasn't been rolled yet, but everyone is already holding their breath.

Supplied as a single piece, attached to its integral base. Scaled to 32mm. Supplied unpainted and ready for priming — the deep pores and textured cap surface take washes and drybrushing particularly well.
