The Fungal Queen is no mere colony guardian. She is the living heart of the myconid court — part sovereign, part spore-mother, part eldritch horror draped in the trappings of fungal royalty. This sculpt captures her mid-confrontation: one clawed hand raised and reaching, the other gripping a gnarled bone staff, her great flat cap dripping with slow, luminescent ichor. Beneath her broad mushroom crown, the suggestion of a face lurks in the folds of pale, ribbed flesh — unsettling in the way only truly alien creatures can be. Strands of spore-bead jewellery hang from her torso, and her lower half trails into a tattered, organic cloak that merges with the fungal growth of her base.

Details

This is a larger display-scale model, sized by the artist to command the table as a boss character. She towers over standard 32mm minis with genuine presence — the kind of presence that makes your players pause before rolling initiative. Equally at home looming from a display shelf as she is anchoring the centrepiece of an Underdark campaign, she suits both serious paint projects and unpainted atmospheric use. The base is richly detailed with clustered mushrooms, shelf fungi, and creeping organic growth — a full scene in miniature.

Well-suited for adventurers who:

  • Need a BBEG or final encounter boss with serious visual weight
  • Are running Underdark, myconid colony, or aberrant nature campaigns
  • Want a centrepiece for a display shelf or diorama
  • Are looking for a challenging and rewarding painting project
  • Play or run campaigns with fey-touched, plant-based, or alien-feeling threats

Encounter Hook:
The party follows a trail of softly glowing spores deep into the cavern — and finds her waiting at the colony's heart, staff planted in the earth, one hand raised not in greeting but in accusation. She has already seen the memory of what they did at the colony's edge. The spores told her everything.

This model is supplied unprimed and unpainted, ready for your brushwork or usable as-is for immediate tabletop atmosphere. Please note this is a larger display-scale miniature — the base measures approximately 55mm, sized by the artist to reflect her role as a boss-level character. If you would like a different scale, please get in touch and we will do our best to help. The scenic base is supplied detached and can be attached with a small amount of glue.
