Description

Deep beneath the earth, where spores drift like snow and the dead do not stay dead, something ancient and fungal has claimed dominion over rot and memory alike.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Fungal Lich is a deeply unsettling fusion of undeath and mycology — a skeletal figure crowned with a broad, shelf-like mushroom cap, robed in wrapped fabric that hangs loose over hollow bones. One clawed hand is raised in a gesture of arcane command, fingers curled as though weaving spores into something far worse than sleep. The other grips a tall, jagged bone staff topped with a curved, blade-like finial — clearly a focus for whatever necrotic and fungal magic this creature channels. Splayed, fungus-crusted feet ground it firmly to the base, and a string of beads or charms hangs at its chest — relics of a life long since composted.

This is not a run-of-the-mill skeleton or a standard lich. It sits at a compelling crossroads of the Undead and Plant creature types, making it a natural fit for Underdark campaigns, myconid colony arcs, or any story where death and nature have grown grotesquely intertwined. As a boss encounter or a sinister sage of the deep places, the Fungal Lich brings an atmosphere that no fire-and-brimstone villain can match. Equally compelling on a display shelf, where the sculpt's character speaks for itself.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Are building Underdark or myconid-themed campaign arcs
  • Need a memorable, lore-rich boss monster for D&D 5e or other TTRPGs
  • Want a characterful undead that breaks from the conventional skeleton or lich template
  • Collect fantasy miniatures with genuine personality and paintable detail

Encounter Hook:
The party follows a trail of petrified spores into a vast subterranean chamber, where rows of fungus-wrapped humanoid husks stand in silent congregation. At the altar, the Fungal Lich turns slowly — its hollow eye sockets flickering with pale bioluminescence — and speaks in a voice that smells faintly of damp earth and old grief: "You carry spores I recognise. You have been here before. You simply do not remember yet."

Details

Printed at 32mm scale and supplied as a single piece attached to its base, ready for priming and painting or straight to the table as-is. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all resin printing, minor marks may occasionally be present and are easily tidied up.
