The Fungal Beast is no mere infected animal. Somewhere beneath those cascading layers of bracket fungi and shelf mushrooms, a creature of fur and claw still stalks — but whatever it once was has long since been claimed. The myconid network threads through its body like roots through soil, steering it through the Underdark's lightless passages with slow, deliberate purpose. Its wide, low-slung frame is dense with growth: row upon row of overlapping fungi fan outward from its spine, with taller stalks rising from its shoulders like a gruesome crown. This is a creature that does not hunt for hunger — it spreads.

For Dungeon Masters, this sculpt is an encounter in miniature. The sheer density of the fungal growth communicates age and infestation instantly, and the low, stalking posture reads as threat without needing a word of explanation.
