Fruit Drake by Mia Kay M3DM

Where orchard meets omen — the Fruit Drake coils through the undergrowth, its serpentine body threaded with leaves, blossoms, and clusters of swollen fruit, a creature that blurs the line between predator and forest itself.

The Fruit Drake is no mere beast — it is the forest wearing teeth. Its long neck arches high over a mossy, rocky base, draped in thorn-edged leaves and studded along its haunches with bulbous, fruit-like growths. The sculpt captures the creature mid-survey, serpentine head lowered as though studying something small and vulnerable on the ground below. Every surface tells a story: vines press through scaled flesh, flowers bloom from its shoulder, and the scatter of rocks, fungi, and scrub brush at its feet suggests a creature utterly at one with its territory.

Mia Kay M3DM's sculpt is alive with organic texture — the interplay between dragonkin anatomy and plant growth creates something genuinely unsettling. Whether you read it as a forest guardian, an apex ambush predator, or something stranger still (a symbiotic colony of plant and drake that share one body?), this miniature rewards painters willing to lean into contrast: deep greens against pale scales, vivid berry-red against weathered bark tones.

This miniature is available in three base options. The no-base variant suits adventurers who want to mount it on their own base. The plain round base provides a clean foundation for basing from scratch. The decorative scenic base — visible in the renders — features a beautifully detailed rocky ground scatter with vegetation and fungi, ready to paint as-is and fully integrated with the sculpt's footprint.

• Adventurers designing a verdant wilderness encounter with a creature that doesn't fight like anything the party has faced before
• Painters who love the challenge of blending natural textures — scale, bark, leaf, and stone — in a single cohesive piece
• DMs running Feywild campaigns, jungle delves, or any setting where the wilderness is a character in its own right
• Collectors drawn to creatures that occupy the boundary between beast and plant — something to display alongside treants and myconids alike

Encounter Hook: The party enters a sunlit clearing where the trees have been stripped bare in a wide circle — fruit rinds, cracked seeds, and gnawed bones scattered across the ground. A druid in the group identifies the leavings of a territorial feed. Then a boulder near the tree line blinks. The Fruit Drake has been watching them since they crossed the treeline, and it has already decided whether they are prey.
