The Frost Salamander is one of those creatures that immediately changes the atmosphere at the table the moment it hits the mat. Part predatory lizard, part elemental force of nature, this six-limbed reptilian horror is all hunger and muscle. The sculpt captures it in three distinct poses — lurching forward with jaws stretched wide, rearing up on its haunches in a threat display, and coiled low with its long serpentine tail sweeping behind it. Each variation conveys a different phase of the hunt, giving Dungeon Masters real flexibility in how they introduce this encounter. The creature's ridged, wrinkled hide, hooked claws, and cold-blue scaled underbelly make it immediately readable on the tabletop, even unpainted — though it will reward anyone who picks up a brush.

In D&D 5e, the Frost Salamander is a formidable elemental beast — six legs, a ferocious bite, and a freezing breath weapon that can shatter formations and panic unprepared adventurers. Whether you're running it as the apex predator of a glacial wilderness, the trained beast of a frost giant warlord, or simply an ancient horror that has wandered down from the mountains, this mini carries the weight of that threat in every line of the sculpt. These are digital renders showing the full detail of the model at 32mm scale — all three poses included in the range.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Need a visually imposing beast encounter for cold or arctic environments
  • Are running campaigns in icy wilderness regions, frost giant lairs, or elemental planes
  • Want multiple poses of the same creature for ambush, combat, and retreat phases
  • Enjoy painting challenging reptilian textures and layered skin tones
  • Collect display-worthy monster miniatures alongside their gaming pieces

Encounter Hook:
The patrol that went to investigate the collapsed shepherd's shelter never returned. Now the party stands at the treeline in failing light, looking at six sets of three-clawed tracks in the snow — circling, not retreating — and a low exhalation of freezing air rising from somewhere just beyond the ridge.

Details

Printed at 32mm scale. The model and base are separate pieces and can be attached with superglue — the decorative base is worth using, as some poses interact with it directly. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with any detailed resin print, minor marks are occasionally possible and easily tidied up. Every piece goes through our quality check before it leaves us.
