This frost giant is built on a huge 76.5mm base, and every millimetre of him earns that footprint. Corded muscle fills out a bare torso beneath a sweeping cloak of layered feathers and pelts; a broad leather belt cinches a shaggy fur kilt that trails like a storm-cloud around his legs. Sweeping horn-like antlers crown his head, framing a long, wild beard and a face set with grim, forward-leaning intent. One fist is raised — ringed with knotted rope and wrapped bracers — while the other trails a heavy axe with rune-carved detailing along its haft. The pose reads mid-stride: not charging, not stationary, but advancing with the slow certainty of something that does not need to hurry.
The sculpt rewards painters who enjoy working at scale — the layered feather-and-fur textures across the kilt and shoulder mantle offer generous surface area for drybrushing and washes, while the face, beard, and horns give plenty of focal points for detail work. Whether you lean into frost-blue tones, storm-grey flesh, or a weathered, war-worn palette, the form supports a wide range of interpretations.
On the gaming table, a model this size commands the space it deserves. Frost giants in D&D 5e hit hard, fight smart, and tend to arrive with followers — so whether you're running a standalone hill fortress encounter or a full Nine Hells-adjacent storm giant campaign arc, this walking giant sets the scene the moment it hits the mat.
- Adventurers who want a large-scale centrepiece monster with genuine presence on the battlefield
- Dungeon Masters running frost giant lairs, arctic wilderness encounters, or Norse-themed campaigns
- Painters looking for rich texture detail and a satisfying large-format project
- Collectors building out a display shelf with iconic giant-kind representations
Encounter Hook: The party crests a glacial ridge to find a frost giant chieftain standing alone in the pass ahead — axe trailing, horn-crowned head tilting slowly as he regards them. He doesn't draw a weapon. He just starts walking. The mountain rumbles. Something answers from below.
