Description

From the reed-choked waterways, a warrior of the frogfolk advances — spear raised, timber-bound armour lashed tight, eyes wide with the unblinking ferocity of something that has never once considered retreat.

  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This is pose 05 of our Frogfolk Warrior range, and it brings real personality to the table. The warrior strides forward on one leg, spear thrust diagonally across the body in a coiled, aggressive stance — all kinetic energy and swampy menace. Crude planks of timber are strapped to the torso with rope, serving as improvised armour, and coiled wooden discs hang at the midsection like trophies or tribal markers. Bone-like spurs jut from the back, and the wide-set eyes and slack-jawed frogfolk face give this warrior a ferocious, almost comedic intensity that reads brilliantly on the tabletop. This sculpt works equally well as a horde warrior, a named champion of a bullywug tribe, or a display piece in its own right.

Bullywugs — the frogfolk of D&D lore — are territorial, cruel, and deeply convinced of their own grandeur. Warriors like this one form the muscle of swamp-dwelling warbands, guarding fetid sacred pools and launching raids on travellers foolish enough to stray from the road. This sculpt captures that savage confidence in every detail, from the improvised timber armour to the grip on that rope-bound spear.

Well-suited for adventurers who:

  • Run swamp encounters, Feywild sessions, or wetland wilderness campaigns
  • Need a characterful bullywug warrior or tribal champion for D&D 5e
  • Enjoy painting creature minis with rough, tribal textures and layered detail
  • Collect frogfolk miniatures for display or horde-building on the shelf

Encounter Hook:
The party hears the drums before they see the torchlight — a deep, rhythmic croaking from somewhere beneath the mist. Then a single bullywug steps onto the causeway ahead, spear levelled, armour of lashed timber creaking with each breath. Behind it, in the dark, something large shifts in the water.
