This is pose 02 of our Frogfolk Warrior range, sculpted by Novaminis with their signature flair for creatures full of personality. This bullywug soldier stands in a wide, grounded stance — one clawed hand raised in warning or challenge, the other levelling a long wooden spear tipped with a carved leaf-head and bound with feathers. His broad, jowled face sits beneath a simple riveted helmet, and his torso is wrapped in a remarkable suit of armour fashioned entirely from rope-lashed log sections — primitive in construction but clearly effective enough to still be standing. A rough-edged cloth cloak hangs from his shoulders, and spiked leg wraps cover his powerful calves above wide, splayed frogfolk feet. Every detail — from the texture of his warty skin to the individual rope bindings on his armour — rewards close attention, whether you're placing him across the table from your players or painting him up for a display shelf.

Bullywugs in D&D occupy a fascinating niche: tribal and territorial, deeply superstitious, and capable of organised defence of their wetland territories. This warrior reads as a front-line defender — the type who patrols the perimeter of a bullywug village and issues a croaking challenge before the ambush springs. He'd sit equally well as a rank-and-file enemy, a chieftain's bodyguard, or even a reluctant ally who's decided the party is less annoying than whatever's threatening his swamp.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Are running swamp, bayou, or Feywild-adjacent encounters
  • Want a bullywug warband with visual variety across multiple poses
  • Are building a frogfolk tribe as recurring NPCs or faction enemies
  • Enjoy painting characterful creature minis with strong surface detail
  • Collect frogfolk or amphibian-themed miniatures for display

Encounter Hook:
The party has been hired to recover a stolen relic from a bullywug village deep in the Thornmire. As they approach the outer boundary markers — crude totems of bone and river reed — a single warty warrior steps out of the reeds ahead, spear levelled, one hand raised in a gesture that might be a warning or might be a greeting. Behind him, the water is very still. It has not been still for the last hour.
