Description

From the murky shallows where the reed-beds swallow sound, the Frog Folk Hunter rises — blowpipe already raised, obsidian eyes locked on a target only it can see.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This Frog Folk Hunter cuts an unsettling silhouette — lean, amphibious, and coiled with predatory intent. The sculpt captures a bullywug-style warrior mid-stalk: blowpipe raised to wide, lipless jaws, body turning in a low crouch as one clawed foot lifts from the ground. The pose carries real narrative weight — this is a creature mid-hunt, not mid-brawl.

The detailing rewards a painter's attention. Across the arm guard and belt hang clusters of gathered arrows or darts, bundled and bound with cord. A skull trophy decorates the belt, and ragged hide wrappings cover the shins and feet. The bare torso shows subtly textured amphibian skin, while a thick-strapped leather belt and loincloth cloth anchor the otherwise lean frame. Two distinct head variants are available — one smooth and goggle-eyed with a more serpentine skull, the other crowned with a dramatic spine-mane and broader jaw. Browsing both variants lets you choose the silhouette that fits your campaign.

On a medium 25.5mm base, this miniature has a satisfying sense of movement — the weight shifted forward, the free hand trailing back. It reads clearly across a gaming table while offering enough surface complexity to reward more careful brushwork for display painting.

A good choice for adventurers who:

  • Run swamp, jungle, or marshland encounters with tribal creature factions
  • Need a bullywug hunter, grung scout, or lizardfolk ambusher for their encounter group
  • Want a ranged-specialist creature mini with a distinctive, non-humanoid silhouette
  • Are building out a frog folk warband or tribal settlement
  • Enjoy painting textured skin tones, bone trophies, and natural hide armour

Encounter Hook:

The party is crossing the Blackfen Crossing — a rotting rope bridge above brackish water — when the first dart hisses from the reeds and takes the ranger's shoulder. Three more follow before anyone can pinpoint the source. Below the bridge, at least a dozen pairs of golden eyes watch from beneath the surface. The Frog Folk Hunter has been trailing them since the forest's edge, and it did not come alone.
