Frederick Rook by Great Grimoire
Description
He arrived in town without a name anyone could verify, a coat worth more than most people earn in a year, and a blade he hasn't drawn yet — but keeps very close to hand.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
Frederick Rook cuts a striking figure on the tabletop: long coat swept open, a slender blade held loosely at his side, ornate cuffs hinting at either aristocratic origins or very expensive taste, and an expression that says he already knows how this conversation ends. Whether he's a well-dressed spymaster, a noble-born duelist with a grudge, or a Warlock whose patron dresses him rather well, Frederick has the kind of presence that makes players pay attention the moment you set him down.
The sculpt captures him in a confident, still pose — weight slightly back, coat mid-flow, eyes half-lidded with the quiet certainty of a man who doesn't need to shout. The surface detail is exceptional: filigree scrollwork on the coat and cuffs, a layered waistcoat with fine button detailing, and hair that falls loose around his shoulders. He reads equally well as a suave villain, a morally flexible quest-giver, or a player character who has very strong opinions about being interrupted at dinner.
Well suited for adventurers who:
- Need a named NPC with gravitas — a spymaster, a rival nobleman, or the face of a shadowy faction
- Are running a Ravenloft or gothic urban campaign and want a compelling human antagonist
- Play a Rogue, Warlock, or Bard and want a miniature that fits a refined, dangerous aesthetic
- Collect display-quality pieces that reward a close-up paint job
Encounter Hook:
The party has spent three sessions trying to identify who hired the assassin that nearly killed the Duke. Tonight, at a candlelit reception in the merchant quarter, Frederick Rook introduces himself — compliments their investigation, names a price for the information they need, and slides a sealed envelope across the table before anyone thinks to ask how he knew they'd be here.
Frederick Rook is printed at 32mm scale and supplied unpainted, primed and ready for painting or use straight from the base. He arrives as shown, with any minor support marks cleaned to our usual standard. Equally at home on the gaming table or a display shelf.
