Frederick Fireforge is a warforged unlike any standard-issue construct. Clad in heavy-duty protective gear — a domed helmet, goggled gas mask, and thick riveted suit — he carries a broad-headed fire axe with the calm, unhurried grip of someone who has walked through blazes that would scatter lesser soldiers. Strapped across his back is a large pressure canister trailing tubes up to his mask, feeding whatever alchemical compound keeps this tireless construct operational long after his human counterparts have fallen. His boots are buckled tight to the shins, his knees armoured with studded guards, and every detail of his kit speaks to function over form. This is a warforged built not for war, but for a different kind of front line — and that makes him all the more compelling at the table.
Whether you're running a steampunk-influenced campaign, a city-based mystery, or an artificer's nightmare scenario, Frederick brings a vivid presence to your encounter map. He works equally well as a player character sculpt for a warforged fighter or artificer, a memorable NPC, or a centrepiece on a display shelf alongside other construct miniatures. Sculpted by Great Grimoire with a level of detail that rewards both painters and collectors — the pressure tank, hose routing, and layered gear straps are all crisply rendered and offer excellent surface variation for dry-brushing and weathering techniques.
Well-suited for adventurers who:
- Play or run warforged characters in D&D 5e or other TTRPGs
- Want a distinctive construct NPC for city guard, guild, or artificer encounters
- Are building a steampunk or industrial fantasy setting
- Enjoy collecting and painting sculpts with strong character and fine mechanical detail
- Are looking for a display piece that stands out from standard fantasy archetypes
Encounter Hook:
The party follows smoke to the sealed lower district, where a lone figure in a cracked gas mask and scorched gear is methodically demolishing a burning building — not to save it, but because his last standing order, issued 200 years ago, was to prevent the fire from spreading to the palace. The palace is long gone. Frederick Fireforge has not been informed.
Details
This miniature is printed at 32mm scale. If you require a different scale, send us a message and we'll do our best to accommodate. A decorative base option is available — if selected, please include a note specifying your preference: Wall Scene, Books Scene, or Boxes Scene. Both decorative and plain black bases are supplied separately and can be attached with a small amount of glue. Supports are removed as standard, though minor marks from the printing process may occasionally be present and are easily tidied up before priming.
