This is the second sculpt in Novaminis' flying snake range, and it brings a noticeably different energy to the first. Where variant 01 may coil or rear, this pose captures the creature mid-stance — wings spread wide and held low, the sinuous neck arched with predatory intent, tail trailing along the ground. It reads less as hovering and more as landed and about to strike, giving it a distinct flavour for different encounter moments.

The featherwork on this sculpt is exceptional in its detail. Each wing is layered with individually defined feathers — long primary flight feathers stretching to broad tips, shorter coverts layered across the wing body, and fine downy details near the wing roots. The contrast between the smooth, scaled serpent body and the richly textured plumage makes this a rewarding miniature to paint, whether you lean into natural earth tones, iridescent tropical colours, or something more exotic to suit a Feywild or Spelljammer setting.

The head is alert and angular, with a classic viper silhouette — flat-topped skull, prominent eye socket, and a subtly open expression that suggests the creature is assessing its next move. Belly scales are clearly defined along the ventral side, adding further texture contrast against the smooth dorsal surface.

As a second variant, this sculpt pairs naturally with Flying Snake 01 to build out a small encounter group or a thematic display piece — two serpents, two attitudes, one cohesive set.
